About The Book

Love Will Out — a Newfoundland Story, is a novel based on the very unusual love story of my parents, Makhoil Elia and Miriam Burnstein (aka Mickey and Marion Michael). My father was Maronite Christian from Lebanon, and my mother was Polish Jewish. It takes place around the long-gone wooden finger piers of old St. John’s harbour during the ‘20s and ’30.

The international best-selling author, Wayne Johnston, called Love Will Out  “… a unique and captivating love story of a kind I’ve never read before.” It’s my first novel and the first of a trilogy. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Love Will Out — a Newfoundland Story is available for purchase at Inglewood Press as well as Amazon.

About The Author

David Michael

If I were to tell you that my many careers have included singer/songwriter, recording artist, producer, TV host, high school teacher, university choirmaster, Parisian cabaret performer, rock ’n roll promoter/merchandiser, real estate developer, and pub owner, would you be impressed, or simply accuse me of having a short attention span? If the latter, I appeal to your generous spirit and implore you to wish me luck in my new career: novelist.

Before pursuing an M.A. in Twentieth Century French Literature at the Sorbonne in Paris, I did my undergraduate work at Iona College in New Rochelle, New York. I now live in Toronto where — when not writing or composing — I fuss and bother over my rose-infused English cottage garden. All are welcome to visit. But be warned: my roses fight back!
